This year’s team MOSTLY seems like they try and want to do well, they just seem bewildered on the floor. They don’t get quality instruction, and I don’t believe they respect the head coach.
Nor, frankly, has he done much to earn their respect (per rumblings one picks up).
Although he hasn’t messed up as bad as he did at Bama – it’s pretty obvious since year 2 that there’s an accountability issue.
You can be liked, but not respected. If one is a competitor, the lack of accountability likely drives them mad.
I don’t like to speculate on the “why” we are losing, but since year 2 it’s pretty obvious to me that Gott a) plays favorites b) those favorites can basically do what they want and c) that has a negative impact on most of the team – especially when it comes to doing the dirty work.
