Either the field is crooked or that yellow first down line overlay thingy is busted. if you run the ball to the far left side of the field you can get to the first down line quicker than running right

Terrible clock management, but fortunately for Syracuse they’re playing NC State … so even with the mismanagement a TD is all but assured.
