    key words:

    Professor

    throwing rocks

    damage

No doubt out of some “studies” department. Cultural Marxism with a nice combination of Michael Foucault to satisfy the material need/consumption desire.

Is there any place more in need of flushing than the chapel hill-carrboro area?

    Durham?

Durham is and has probably always been a dump.

Adding to its depth of oddness is the tremendous lack of culture beyond Wal-Martesk pulse of consumption. Cities/Counties of the Durham sort assure the long term need for pseudoscience of psychiatry. These suburban and urban areas of America have no soul. I’m sure common bonds of some sort are practiced. Historically this has meant the church, ethnic sameness, common history, local music, food, etc but modern America is united by nothing more than the non-sense that we are exceptional, have access to pornography and a need for a smart phone.

How can one live in these cul de sacs of nothingness? The children of these areas are a fine harvest for the Marxists that dwell in the sewers known as high education.

    God bless the agarian South.

As someone who grew up in one of those ‘cul de sacs of nothingness’ I am offended by your comments and will wait for my apology in my safe place.

I believe we grew up well and are productive citizens of this country and our kids are not as snow flake as everyone tells me they are. Now let me go cook a late lunch for my 25 year old who just got up.

    Give this up guys…

    Silent Sam ain’t talking…
    and he ain’t going nowhere…

He knows sh#t and has seen sh#t that most people today cannot comprehend….
and for that reason alone… he stands justified.

It would behoove some to listen to what he might say to them.

As for war between the Agrarians and the Urbans… that’s been going on in North Carolina since before Silent Sam… and will continue in different ways un-interrupted….

As for Durham… if you hadn’t been there in the last two-three years… you really don’t know what you’re talking about.

The cities and towns that are suffering most in North Carolina are the other Ninety Counties.

    Sorry Bro Mac.

I for one have no desire to go traipsing about the Bull(et) City.

BITB is right on this one. Downtown Durham has changed drastically (for the better in my mind) over the past 10 years. Really, downtown Raleigh has as well. It’s way nicer than when I was a student.

So both areas have been gentrified by homosexuals initially. They don’t have kids and they have disposable income, makes for nice restaurants and high rents but the culture is lifeless.

How much good food, hot chics and alcohol does a man need before he realizes he has handed over his balls to nothingness?

The best view of Durham, especially Downtown Durham, is in the rear view mirror.

Art studios, nice restaurants, clothing shops….repeat.

    What rubbish.

The art is trash, the food is cosmopolitan-lacks connection and the clothing is functionally proletarian.

Durham, Raleigh, NODO, SOHO….what does it matter? The more different they may lead you believe that each are from one another in actuality they produce the sameness of Levittown.

    God bless Amerkia.

McCallum sounds like the Great American, Bill Cunningham.

I’m not sure who BillCunningham is but “great” and “American” are exclusive terms.

We are all something far before we are American. America has become the propositional nation it was never intended to become. Mel Bradford explains it very well in the link below.

Sam stands for something and like anything in this life it has warts. The greater item is the connection to faith, kin and land. Those are the lasting things, men defend them and women nourish them.

Modern Amerika is nothing and will produce nothing.
