This is fantastic news. Dave Doeren is starting to gather momentum here, and he’s proving that he can develop players that can perform and contribute to wins.

Best of all, he’s doing it the right way. No smoke and mirrors, just good hard work.

… Coach DD is definitely the Big Dog on the street…
but we can’t say enough good things about ..
    Desmond Kitchings @coachdeskitch

… even my 17yr old daughter “E” was impressed when they met one day at NHHS and he took the time to chat with her about her Lacrosse team …

… Coach K told “E” to tell some of the NHHS Boys he was looking their way too…

    … “E” told Coach to tell Dr. Debbie — State needed a D1 Women’s LAX Team too…

Hard to beat that even if you cheat…

    Speaking of ‘Cheaters’..

With this stable of thoroughbreds and a O-line to match…
Chesik is going think he playing ‘Bama… ’cause there ain’t a whole lot of different between RED and White and Crimson and White… when you laying on the grass on your A$$…

He better be worried ’bout holding NCState under 400yds rushing ’cause these guys could break our record of having the MOST RUSHING YARDS EVER by the visiting team in a football game against the Holes in Chapel Hill…

HEAVY LEFT… HEAVY LEFT… HEAVY RIGHT… First Down..
wash, rinse, repeat… all the way to the End Zone…

Steve Logan, a man who’s known to get staraight to the point – sometimes too quickly – said on his radio show this morning — Chesik couldn’t fix the Defense currently in Chapel Hill… ’cause they did not have a Defense to fix … and he’d have to wait until he could get some bigger, better guys who actually WANTED TO PLAY FOOTBALL first…

… Logan did mention that Coach Hat had been out on the road since the end of the season… and I quote… “MAKING PROMISES… ” …

However… Logan did not say whether or not Coach Hat or Chisik would or could keep ANY of those promises…

… some thing to do with ‘Support from the Administration’… seems to be clear that’s somewhat of a sore subject for Logan…

    Damn that is great news!

Didn’t someone on here say Coach D is in over his head? I’d rank that right up with Beano Cook giving Ron Powlus the Heisman trophy two games into his career.

As I mentioned on another thread, I wonder if Gallaspy will redshirt? That seems to make a lot of sense with Shad returning and Frasier coming on board. Frasier is definitely the more college ready of the two.

I am a born NC State fan and grad., the worst pessimist there ever was as it involves NC State. Three years ago the family and I quit contributing to the WPC because of my constant disappointment in the program. I still have fits of morning sickness in regards to the basketball program but as I sit 36 years old with every minute of those 36 years bleeding the red of NC State I feel with every inch of my body we got our selves a team boys!!! I can not wait

I always swing by SFN before turning in. Awesome news. We lost a lineman recruit to FSU last year. Never turn your back on the wolf.

Good news! Now let’s get Johnny to talk to Brandon Ingram and we’ll be looking good.

Most encouraging news I have heard in 20 years. If Doren keeps this recruiting like this we will see the results on the field. If we become relevant in the football world let’s don’t repeat the past and let Doren leave for another school because of our lack of salary—PAY HIM AND HIS STAFF FOR POSITIVE RESULTS. Money isn’t the only issue but remember Holtz and Rein—people who left for whatever reason but I suspect money and lack of commitment from the top were part of the reasoning for their departure. We then proceded to hire a bunch of faillures (excluding Sheridan). Again—lets don’t repeat the past experience.

Doeren really is doing a fantastic job, on and off the field. Couldn’t be more pleased.

“The duo tore up the Triangle Area of North Carolina and decided to keep their growing legends at home for college.”

This is the part I like best. Keeping talent in the state of NC while shoving it up the Hat’s and the rest of the dicks at UNC-CH collective assholes.

Let’s do repeat the past as we did with Earl Edwards and keep Doeren until he retires here in North Carolina.

The circumstances are entirely different now than when Holtz and Rein were here. We had a tightwad for an AD who was more interested in keeping the department in the black than keeping good coaches. (He let Sloan get away because he low-balled him with a salary offer.) We also did not have the Chancellor support then we do now. I’m not going to get into how Willis could be an asshole with the coaches, more interested in winning pissing contests than having great relationships with his coaches. This is all my opinion regarding WC and I’m sure there are those that disagree.

Debbie Yow is an advocate for paying the coaches well. Our OC and DC make good money and our assistant coaches do as well. We aren’t paying guru prices but we are very competitive. Keeping our assistants is a bigger concern of mine than keeping Doeren. DY will do what it takes to keep DD.

I understand what you are trying to communicate, I just want to head off any notion that these times and conditions are anything like the days of Willis Casey and the Chancellors who headed NC State University then. We should all give thanks for Randy Woodson, Debbie Yow, Dave Doeren and the football staff, both on-the-field coaches and the support staff as well as the S&C coaches headed by Veldkamp. Football is a team sport and a top 10 football program is a team effort.

With this team we may be out spent but we will not be out worked.
