NC State to build dorm for basketball players
Lots that can be discussed from this I suppose.
But my main question is…What the hell is a “boutique” dormitory?
Can someone explain how this is not an NCAA violation? They banned specials dorms for athletes years ago.

The headlines are misleading. 51% normal student occupancy is required
And such is discussed in the article as well. Dog is spot on with the 51% number. Hence the opposition of some to the approval, based on the cost per resident. The dorm will house both the women’s and men’s teams, and be rounded out by non-athletes.

This sure beats the “previous” Jock Dorm – Berry (in the early 60’s) when the PA gang that played FB for EE dominated it.
Time will tell….change in politics BEFORE the contract is let will kill it quicker than the NCAA could issue the Death Penalty for ORW and his gang of elitists…

You ain’t seen the rocks in the lobes of most of the boys lately I presume. I don’t think shabby or faded are in their vocabs. Not a judgement of ’em, just young’uns, they like the new and shiny.
And the more I think about it, despite how silly some of it might sound, I like Mr. Dog’s take more and more.
Yeah, we’re building it. Yeah, it’s gonna cost that much. Excessive you say? Unfair advantage you say? Is this REALLY a conversation you suits wanna have right now?
