    Vs Mars Hill.

    Pack up by 37.

I saw something I really I really liked.

Tall white kid – Thompson or Thomas from Huntersville – walk on. Entered the game a few minutes ago – and was out of position (probably due to sitting on the bench for 35 minutes).

Even though game was over, he calls the kid over ; and gently explains to him what he did wrong (I think.)

Anyway – I loved it. Coach every kid individually.

Team played hard – not just on the offensive end.

Lots of little things I haven’t seen in a long time.

We played more defense tonight than we had in the past 6 years. We hustled more than we did in all games last year put together. We passed more on offense than we had in two seasons.

There are clearly things to work on — free throws, press break, some shot selection — but overall a good start to a new era. Don’t get me wrong, there was a huge size and skill advantage that made us look better than we were, but I liked a lot of what I saw.

Yea Rye – it’s more the effort for the entire game than anything else. Agreed.

They were dripping with sweat the entire game. I’ve never seen that before.

Clemson’s pretty decent, man. I dunno if I’d call it an exhibition game we’ve got with them.

Oh.. you meant basketball. I kid. I kid.

    This begins the farsical season.
College basketball is as much a sport as professional wrestling.

Hanjob’s career taught us all we needed to know about that. These latest NCAA things have I think opened up the eyes of even the most casual and non partisan fans.
