*NC admins were supposed to receive a ‘review letter’ from The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools no later than last Monday (11/17/14)…
To date no “official response” has been made by the University. Yesterday afternoon, this fact was noted by WRAL.com, who politely termed *NC’s “status” as “unclear”…
While WRAL.com stopped short of speculating as to the contents of the letter…
Everybody else knows that in this case, there is a NO answer – as in the is NO problem and NO probation and NO loss of accrediation… and EVERYTHING ELSE is a Yes answer…Also on Wednesday… E$pin reported that the NCAA had placed Weber State’s Football program on 3 years probation after a former Math Instructor ‘helped’ FIVE football players with tests in 2013… NCAA confirmed that the penalty was mitigated by the cooperation and openness of Weber State Administrators.
Then Today’s headline… is “*NC College of Arts and Sciences Dean Steps Down”…
And on the sports pages…
Uncle Roy NOW says…“I don’t know everything that went on…” which is not quite the same thing as saying “I don’t know anything”..
Not to left behind without a scoop … the Durham Morning Herald is reporting... “the Scandal” is hurting *NC in the pocketbook in more ways than one… and…
“After the release of the Wainstein report last month on the school’s academic and athletic scandal, UNC-Chapel Hill fundraisers worked to call 750 of the school’s top donors in the next 48 hours, the chief executive of the school’s foundation said Wednesday.”
