Thought a lot of this was interesting….particularly the following:
For those still in the fog about why Mike Leach hasn’t been successful at Washington State, here are two key observations after last week’s loss to FCS Portland State that left the Cougars 12-26 overall, and losers of 15 of their last 20 games, under Leach:
— He’s not recruiting in the state of Texas anymore.
— He’s not developing Kliff Kingsbury, B.J. Symons, Sonny Cumbie and Graham Harrell anymore.
In 38 games at Wazzu, Leach’s quarterbacks have thrown 64 interceptions. I don’t care how good a coach you are, you’re not winning games with your quarterbacks putting up those numbers.
Or as they say in Texas, “Don’t hang your wash on someone else’s line.”
Honestly, I had totally forgotten Mike Leach was coaching again. Completely off my radar..not to mention that he has coached for THREE seasons already? Insane.
