Tagged: Archie Miller, Dayton Flyers
Anybody else see this very awkward moment when Greg Gumble was interviewing Archie yesterday?
So he’ll be ready by the time Gott burns out?
He coaches defense better than he played it. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment…?
I’ve always liked Archimedes. He knows how to keep it afloat.
Q: I know the Millers are from Pittsburgh, but how did they end up sounding like Brooklyn’s Chris Mullin?
I went to Dayton one year for spring break.
It is a private school so unfortunately we can’t view the contract, which was signed in February for what its worth.
I wouldn’t expect the buyout to be insurmountable. I mean…..half our fan-base thought we were going to outbid Arizona the last go ’round.
Glad for Archie and his cute wife. This might at least buy us a couple more years to see what Gott can do with his jewel recruiting class. Let’s see if he can keep kids from transferring. We only have one recruit left from his first class.
Gott’s first class was a last minute scramble for bodies. Both of the transfers were not ACC caliber players but Lowe was a nightmare and Gott had to grab what he could, what was left over. To say Gott has only one recruit left is meant to be a slam on Gott but frankly those kids needed to transfer for their own PT.
Great article about the road to coaching success for Archie and Sean Miller:
More Archie news – here is a great article describing our alum as the next prince of the coaching profession:
In the time it took to win his first two NCAA tournament games, Archie Miller went from relative obscurity to next in line as the prince of men’s Division I basketball. Last Thursday, Miller, 35, and his 11th-seeded Dayton Flyers disposed of No. 6 Ohio State, whose coach, Thad Matta, had been a mentor and friend to Miller.
