Raleigh police charged WV transfer Terry Henderson Monday with carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm in an incident involving a pellet gun. The story broke in Wednesday’s N and O. Perhaps Terry didn’t get the memo when he transferred in, so he might have been unaware that some of his peers have been down this road before in Raleigh. Anyway, what he was doing was stupid but even us grownups do stupid things to this day. What puzzles me is that there is no “fire” involved in the function of a pellet gun so I don’t see how he can even be charged with something that is impossible. Hopefully this will be resolved quickly with an important lesson learned by this young man.
