Having two ACC teams in the Final Four is good news for N.C. State. And Louisville. And Boston College. And all eight ACC teams that didn’t even play in the tournament this season.
Each NCAA tournament game an ACC team plays is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to every team in the conference, whether they’re in the tournament or not. And the record-setting performance of the ACC the past two seasons will mean an annual boost of more than $400,000 to every ACC school for the next six years and possibly beyond.

It is great that we have access to such money for non-revenue sports. I’m glad they get the benefits of college competition and that they put their heart and soul into the University during the short time they are at school.

After factoring in the “up for a good year” and “down for a bad year” impact on alumni giving,
NOT playing basically means a free ride… at least from a $math%financial$math$ point of view…#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!04/02/2016 at 6:42 PM #102190BJD95KeymasterThat’s still miniscule taters when you consider how far behind we are in football TV money.
