    Do we have a chance against UVA if we land in the 8 or 9 seed? They destroyed us last time. I suppose we need to be pulling for FSU to lose and us to win so that we can land the 7 seed. Then we will likely be playing Cuse.

    Do you guys think we can match up on a neutral floor with UVA?

    Yes. With TJ Warren on our side, anything is possible. Of course, the Cavs shut him down the first time. Doubt they can do it again as he is in the zone, and we’re playing better.

    In that scenario there is no likely, we would be the 7 seed and definitely be playing SU.

    If SU and UNC lose there is a 3 way tie. SU would have the tie breaker:
    SU 2-1
    Duke 2-2
    UNC 1-2

    So SU is the #2 seed no matter what.

    If FSU wins they are the 7 seed. If FSU loses and NCSU wins then NCSU is the 7 seed.

    I believe SU is State’s best chance at a Friday win provided they can win Thursday. Remember Miami and WF are playing for 10th. I give the edge to Miami since it’s in FL and if State has to play Miami on Thursday then there’s a good chance State loses.

    The ONLY potential Friday opponent is Cuse or UVA, as Jigs reiterates.

    Cuse is a slightly better Friday matchup, but I would also rather play MD than Wake or Miami. I mean, for f-ck’s sake, we beat them without Buckets.

    Of course we can beat UVA. They are a classic high floor/low ceiling team. If we play our best, think it’s a coin flip. If we don’t play our best, not beating anyone on Friday.

    I need to correct an Error I made above, SU is not a lock for #2. If SU loses and UNC wins then UNC is the #2 seed.

    #2 Seed:
    SU: (a) Win over FSU or (b) Lose to FSU AND UNC loss to Duke.
    UNC: Win over Duke AND SU loss to FSU.

    Sorry for the mistake.

    The only locks heading into the weekend that I know of off the top of my head are #1 UVA, #14 BC, and #15 VT.

    It’s just that we can’t be 7 UNLESS Cuse is also 2. That was the point I was circuitously trying to make.

    … as we have seen most all of the second half of the regular season…

    We can beat anybody…

    IF…
    1. we play good (not great) Defense and all our BIGS stay out of foul trouble…
    2. && we make 70% of our free throws…
    3. && we have more assists than turnovers…
    4. && we have three kids scoring double figures…

    IF we do three out of four above && if the opponent has a bad game…
    we might win one or two games…

    IF we can do all four — three games in a row…
    we can win the Tournament…

    (last minute — heroics, miracles && #NCStateSh%t notwithstanding)

    && IF…
    CUZ has to do it ALL…
    OR…
    we see a ‘bunch of guys in Red and White on the floor all doing their thing’ instead of our ‘TEAM’…

    we’ll be riding east down I-40 quickly…

    #NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!
