State dominates on road at #20 Pitt, 78-61

Who saw that coming?

Well, not as many fans as usually might see it because WRAL-TV5 is off the air on DirecTV! RRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG

You don’t believe that #NCStateShit exists? How about the fact that many die hard Wolfpack fans have loyally committed to half a season of miserable basketball while attending home games and watching road games on television only to have the ONE great game of the season blacked out by a business dispute by two companies. Un-frckin-believable.

The 78-61 win at Pitt (previously #21 in the RPI) is easily State’s marquee win of the season and should serve to get the Pack back into the Top 100 of the RPI. Woo-hoo!!! Barring a miracle run the rest of the season, the win also gives State fans a little hope that the team can muster enough wins over the rest of the season to stay above .500 and participate and have a chance to participate in the NIT (better than a lot of alternatives that were shaping up before Tuesday night’s upset).

WRAL’s live game blog walks you through the events of the evening here.

I know we most would trade all of the good to great for a great coach in either BB or FB but I think she has done very good in the non-revenue sports – looks like we have chance at natty in wrestling – we have not been this good there since I graduated in 93

On a different note Rick did you go by flounder or Egon when you were in college

…Oh. Tex, Pat Kenny was a wingback when under Earl and Al. We never cleared that up.

When Lou arrived, he was most definately a wideout. I should know. I carried his luggage while learning what it took to play his position.

    Kinda like Dads, man.

    Nicely done sparta.

Time will tell. We saw last night what gott ball is capable of when coupled with good defensive rebounding…for much of game. I also think we match up well with Pitt because they play a plodding style without a lot of good outside shooters and tons of guard penetration.
