   Impressive OOC schedule this year; I guess Syracuse didn’t back out after all.

   Two games in Reynolds, none in Greensboro.

   Three games in Reynolds. Interesting. I wonder if there are that many conflicts with the RBC, or is it a conscious effort to shift more non-conf games.

   Good schedule. I hope most of the mid-majors do as well as they did last year. Outside of Del.St., NCCU and Elon, the rest had RPI’s below 200, so very few of them should be SoS killers.

   Central (believe it or not) could actually be pretty good this year as they have a couple of transfers from high-major programs…

   and btw, our ACC schedule is pretty easy with a down BC, GT, and Wake twice…not to mention The U (twice) which lost Julian Gamble for the year and who knows how Reggie Johnson will be when he gets back…

   Good Side: ACC schedule should allow us to rack up wins & improve seeding in ACC tourny…

   Bad Side: We better get our quality wins non-conference or our weak ACC slate won’t look too good on the resume come NCAA time…

   It looks like we get a bit of a break in the ACC. Duke once, Wake Forest twice, and 5 very winnable games to start the ACC season.

   How about back to back home games to start ACC play. First time that has happened since Swofford became ACC commish. Wonder if he been served notice by Yow that she not going to tolerate the ACC office constantly shafting us! Still remember Amato complianing that the only request he made to the ACC office was not to play Wake Forest right before our big TV game against FSU, sure enough we got WAke right before that game.

   With the smell comign from the Hill and the appeal of NCSU to other conferences, and a sure upgrade at AD guess Swofford going to have to rethink his bias against us.

   Like the schedule better than last year and a schedule that if we play well can put us in the tournament. Giddy Up!

   Okay. Pretty decent schedule. But …

   NO ONE has made one mention how we get screwed by playing a 9pm Thursday Night Game AT Puke, then have to come back to play FSU for a 1pm Saturday Game.

   We will BARELY have 36 hours to rest in-between. That’s crap. How much energy are we going to expel @Krapshiskyville where we haven’t won in 16 years (17 by gameday) only to be gassed by Saturday?

   That’s probably the worst part of our schedule. But it’s a pretty significant complication.

   It’s a good schedule, but I wish we’d quit getting a Sunday night road game in our ACC finale and then have to head out of state for the tourney. Can’t somebody restore Wake Forest to our final game of the season? Even though it’s a tough game for both, Duke and UNX have always gotten a break by playing each other in the season finale because it means neither has to travel just before the tourney.

    We have a week off to prepare for Duke.

    The ACC sets the conference schedule, not the individual schools; although they may have some input.

    Three games in Reynolds, not two. My bad.

    I like it. 19 home games, including the 3 in Reynolds, as opposed to 16 last year with 1 in Reynolds. And the season ticket prices did not go up. Although the season tickets don’t include the Reynolds games. Good OOC games, good weekend games.

    Again, it is time to have State and Wake play each other in their season finale. Duke and UNX are no better than we are in that regard. For years, we played Wake in our last game, and suddenly we no longer do that. We still play each other twice a year, so I don’t see any reason under the sun why that can’t be restored.

    We will most likely be playing on Thursday night again in the ACCT, this time in Atlanta. Playing out of state on the road in our last game, on Sunday night no less, needs to stop. Again, I see no reason under the sun this can’t be changed back. Expansion should not be allowed to kill off the league’s best rivalries.

    Duke,FSU, and UNC. All three in a row. If we win one of these games, we will be really fortunate. (Unless of course something dramatic happens to one of those teams that we don’t know about)

    At first blush, it feels like our ACC schedule is easy, but I’d argue it will do us no favors. Yes, we’ll get some wins against Wake, BC, GT and a depleted Miami (I originally had them third in the league, but the inside injuries will kill them), but that makes the games against UNC, Duke, FSU and VT that much more important. We’re @ Duke and VT, and we play FSU on a short turn. I also think we’re going to lose twice to UNC and definitely @ Duke. If we lose at VT and FSU at home, then our ACC schedule will look a bit soft on selection Sunday.

    I think this is clearly our toughest out of conference schedule in a long, long time. We’re going to need to come out with some wins — something like 3 losses at the max.

    We look like a bubble team this year.
