Cullen has always been a fantastic representative of NC State. Cool kid….
I love this post. When he won the natl championship in the 50 freestyle I was at State and the Technician just wrote a small side article about it that was maybe 6 sentences long. As State fans we want a successful athletic program, however when one of our own wins the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in the most competitive event in their sport we hardly recognize it. To be fair, the Technician did give more than adequate coverage when he was in the Olympics with Phelps.
Awesome!
Congrats and best of luck to Cullen. Always struck me as a class guy and strong competitor.
He comes across as a great competitor and rep of NCSU.
Nice article about Cullen in the NYT Sunday Magazine (except no mention of his time at State).
