The scandal story comes full circle as our favorite UNC-CH player uses Twitter (what else?) to comment about the McAdoo situation.  WRAL does a good job summarizing his comments from last night.

His most promising tweet:

I’m so heated right now…justice will provail..even if I have to spill the beans

Wow!

During his outbursts last night Marvin was often challenged by the Twitter character limit, but WRAL put some of them together to come up with this paragraph-like transcription:

Twitter I’m not bitter I just don’t like the way my friend, teammate,brother was mislead,misued, and ostrisized from the program for the same reasons that others got suspened and are able to play for because I know exactly the details in each case and its noway that this young man should have his dream snatched from him like the #ncaa has done.I can tell you so many stories that would be mind boggling in comparison

So Marvin is threatening to “spill the beans” and tell “stories that would be mind boggling in comparison” ?  Hard to tell if he is angry at the NCAA or UNC-CH or both, but wouldn’t it be fun to find out!

    He’s certainly angry at UNC-Ch: “but I just wish the administration stood and stop the cowardly acts…”

    But it’s clear that the villain, in Austin’s mind, is the NCAA. He still “love[s] this [UNC-Ch] place.”

    Austin isn’t going to spill any consequential beans.

    On the one hand, it sounds like he thinks that his revelations would help out his friend by showing that what he did is not so bad (and maybe would help out UNC b/c he thinks that what the players have done isn’t so bad if they’d just stick with what they were told??). But, the way he talked about it sounds like he’d be sinking the flagship. If McAdoo has done very little wrong in Marvin’s eyes and he’s a villain in the NCAA’s eyes, what would happen if we find out some really “bad” stuff? I hope someone gets to him before UNC does.
    By the way, if I were UNC, I’d do everything I could to get Marvin to stop tweeting. I know that he’s an athlete and athlete’s don’t really learn at UNC, but when he writes things that are probably supposed to sound somewhat intelligent and they are full of misspelled words, it gives away too much.

    Austin is saying that McAdoo’s academic cheating isn’t as bad some others who were never caught, or maybe who were caught but suffered little or no penalty. That or cheating is so rampant in the football program that to single out McAdoo is somehow unfair.

    packhammer I have to agree. At least McAd’oh! turned in a paper to get a grade. I wonder how many got A’s with no effort of any kind expended?

    PackerInRussia – The King of Cupcakes was dismissed from UNC and was drafted by the NY Giants. UNC has no way to control him at this point unless they pay him a ton of money to keep him quiet. Additionally, the NCAA no longer has any jurisdiction over him either.

    If Austin ever opens up to the press, UNC is screwed. I bet there are a ton of big-time reporters trying to contact him even as we post these comments. One of them is going to push the right buttons and Cheater Hill will get burned to the ground.

    It wouldn’t surprise me to see UNC admin. try to discredit Austin at this point. Pay him to keep his mouth shut or discredit him and tell that world not to believe what he says.
    I’m interested to see how this gets handled.

    The gift that keeps giving! Chapel Hell must really regret knowing this guy. And of course, the NCAA is at fault. Typical tarhole! I seriously think the NCAA should look into the entire athletics department. This little handicap blue school is hiding more than we know.

    After all the trouble that Twitter has caused him, you’d think that he’d learn to be more discreet with what he posts. Oh wait, I forgot he’s incapable of learning. That’s why he ended up at the diploma mill that is UNX. Guys, this scandal is SO much bigger than I ever would’ve imagined when we first started talking about John Blake possibly being an agent runner. Oh and someone please send Marvin a big box of cupcakes for me.
