I don’t know what to say.

But, this news is so huge that we must put it on the front page of the blog! — Pack mostly healthy heading into Clemson.

N.C. State will have almost its full compliment of players when it takes on Clemson Saturday afternoon.

Defensive end Sylvester Crawford (knee) and defensive backs Jesse Riley (knee) and Rashard Smith (knee) had already been ruled out for the year in previous weeks.

Other than those three, everyone on the Wolfpack roster is expected to suit up on Saturday against the Tigers.

Our message forums have a jump start on this conversation as they’ve been discussing it for a few hours now. (Link to thread) The biggest question created by this good news at this point of season revolves around Jarvis Byrd. Does he redshirt or do you burn the redshirt for only four remaining games? (Excuse me…five remaining games since we are bowling)

    I think Jarvis should play. He is talented enough to make a difference in the next 5 or 6 games if we make the ACC championship.

    I base my decision on every DB/CB returning next year. Zach Powell is the only senior in the defensive backfield.

    I would play him.

    I think we red shirt him. I am fine with Amerson and Wilson backed up with Byers, Monk and Grant (who has been making a big push for time so I heard). It does make the future of the secondary look bright! Next year Wilson, Amerson, Byrd, Smith, Bishop, Wolfe, Johnson, Monk, Byers (I know I am forgetting someone). The now looks bright; the future looks bright.

    I say redshirt him unless we need him to win a game. He probably wouldn’t mind burning a redshirt for four games and an ACCCG berth.

    Not buying the experts picking Clemson to win b/c of their defence. Our offence scored on every defence the experts said would stop us. Our D should be able to stop Clemson. I just hope the offence that went to Greenville doesn’t show up.

    @wvillepack excellent point. FSU has the best D we will see all year. They have the best line, the fastest LB’s and lock down corners. All we did was run for almost 200yds. And we left 3/7 on the field with that pick at the goalline. We absolutely dominated TOP in the 2nd half and the first quarter.

    The good decision making, non-pressing RW needs to show up, that’s all.

Only one starter – offensive tackle Mikel Overgaard – has been injured and forced to miss time. He started the first three games before injuring his elbow and missed three games. This healthy trend is a complete reversal of Tom O’Brien’s first three years. In the past three seasons, players who were starters at one point in their careers missed a total of 180 games. That’s an average of 60 games missed per season.”
