I can’t remember who, but someone had already posted that link here a few days ago, on an earlier thread.

Thanks. I have been traveling a bunch and haven’t had time to stay on top of too much blogging.

Just a note to say that Caulton(I wanna be a TarHole)Tudor has a nice preview of the College World Series featuring Elliott Avent’s take on all of the teams. It was in the N & O sports section this Saturday.

I think it reflects pretty well on our baseball coach.

I know we’ve been talking about the NBA lately, but the PGA is rigged to.

    From the article:

Amato was fired after the 2006 season, and the Wolfpack hired Boston College’s Tom O’Brien to replace him.

“I didn’t hear from NC State for a while,” Kuhn said. “I thought they’d forgotten about the German guy.”

Sounds like Lee dropped the ball here yet again (see losing a recruit to Seton Hall after his man Herb left). I’m glad we didn’t get burned. Guess he couldn’t fit in a simple phone call between lounging at his Lake House and pulling a 30 hour work week…

I was suprised when I read this a few weeks ago on ESPN. Pleasantly that is.

We get absolutely no press in FB right now and something like this is pretty cool to read when you are starving for info out of “our” sites like SFN, etc.

Not that I think we have warranted too much press from ESPN, but I am confident that it could change as our season takes off this year.

It will be great to see what a year of training table food and weight room has done for this guy. Markus played last year on instincts as a true freshman with for all practical purposes no real high-level football background. He should be a real force and only get better from here on out.

Do we really want Lee making phone calls to recruits? :)

We want any AD owning what is going on within the department and making sure that balls don’t get dropped.

it was how long (a week maybe?) from the time amato was fired till TOB was hired? you think Kuhn was referring to that week we were coachless? maybe TOB’s staff was going after another prospect and got in touch with him late when they knew they’d still have a free scholly. that’s more plausible to me anyway. TOB said in the story that kuhn was on his list of prospects from the old staff.

Good article. I hope we re-open the European basketball pipeline again. 2 of our best players in the last 10 years have been from Europe.
