5pm: Looks Like State Slipping in Bowls [5:12 update]

A barrage of reports are leaking about the ACC’s Tier I dominos dropping…and they aren’t dropping in State’s favor.

With this said, WHO KNOWS where State ends up in the Tier II bowl grouping. The problem is that so many of the Tier II Bowls have had all week to work on their match-ups with a different understanding of availability. For example, a lot of reports have Virginia Tech confirmed for the Military Bowl in Annapolis where many thought State might fall. So, if VPI is solid for that spot…where does it leave the Pack?

Right now it appears that there may be a likelihood that State may be heading to the Biticoin Bowl in St. Petersbug, Florida against an AAC program. Could that end up matching the Wolfpack vs East Carolina in Florida? Maybe Central Florida? The Biticoin Bowl is played on December 26th at 8pm at Tropicana Field.

I’m happy enough, we’re bowling with a legit shot at a win. I would not have given us much of a chance against Georgia, and the Belk Bowl can be in the conversation next year.
I would have liked a better name opponent. UCF is like playing ECU, not much to gain, a lot to lose, except they are not in state (bragging rights, recruiting).
And if we win 8, that was about the best any of us expected!
