ParticipantIt does seem this team is a bit more focused.

Participant“Just win baby”
tractor57
ParticipantAnd we will see if it is tomorrow.

ParticipantAnd assistant coaches do get “better” positions. We have been on the short end of that sometimes and on the long end in others. A successful HC is able to fill in those gaps when they happen. Maybe we are getting to that point or maybe we aren’t but going forward that will be the strength or weakness of the program.
tractor57
ParticipantI’m expecting nothing pro or con. At some point something will happen but who knows when.
tractor57
ParticipantBOTB for sure that will be his spot.
tractor57
ParticipantI guess he has lost weight during the season 🙂
tractor57
ParticipantThis group chill? That will be the day.
tractor57
ParticipantI’m also sort of old school. I don’t have to be “entertained” every second. I do think there has been a history of knee jerk reactions to situations.
tractor57
ParticipantIf the wins continue there will be an extension or DD will be coach somewhere else for more money. Maybe not the right thing during the season but then again it is his agent and the administration talking. I also think it very likely he is getting feelers from other schools.
tractor57
ParticipantNo way in he double hockey sticks I’ll create a Todd Turner avatar 🙂

Participant“My Goodness! Such positive vibes from everyone so early in the morning! Since we all have so much control over what we perceive to be wrong with the team, just go back to thinking about how much of a raise the AD will give DAD.”
I’m positive it is his to deal with but I’m also positive the team is much improved. I can’t change things and wouldn’t know exactly what to change but I can see (as with any team) there are some strong points and some weaker ones.
tractor57
ParticipantHis program and his issue to correct. Maybe not “hands on” but if he wants to move forward he has to get a handle here.
tractor57
ParticipantThere are times when I don’t agree with McC but in this case I do. Maybe not “hands on” but it is up to coach D to steer the ship so yes it is his responsibility. Bobby Bowden went through the same trama years ago and yes it was his to solve. Maybe we can sign the Polish Rifle under cover 🙂
tractor57
ParticipantI’ve been reading the admini8stration and coach D are discussing a contract extension. That should make McC’s head explode.
tractor57
ParticipantI agree there are some issues. Maybe play calling, maybe on field performance in some areas however we cannot deny the results on the filed have improved. Is that “movin’ on up” or a one season thing it the question. I think a bit of “movin’ on up” but I’m not so confident that it is.

Participant”
What goes up must come down.
Chill out, enjoy it and stop claiming that somehow a corner had been turned.
You’ll be eating your young when they run dive plays all day long against BC and State loses 11-7.
McCallum”
McC I’ll say you are consistent. Something to admire there in that you do not wave in the breeze. Maybe at the end of the year we shall see.

ParticipantI told a eweUC fan today at church I had a problem yesterday. Hard decision whether to pull against eh Catholics or the sheep.
tractor57
ParticipantBreakout year? Possibly. Certainly a step forward.
tractor57
ParticipantAs I have posted all along I saw some progress. I din’t expect a breakout like this but it was more than welcome. Yes I realize the team still has some weaknesses to develop but I think coach D might have turned the corner. Of course next week, next year might be different. Given our situation when he was hired I thought a decent call. As much as I liked TOB he basically coasted into retirement and emptied out most all talent from the program. That in my opinon is one reason it has taken so long to regain footing.
tractor57
ParticipantI can see two reasons – first a really engaging game and second a very electric atmosphere. That the “coneheads” usually don’t do college football probably helped as well.
tractor57
ParticipantAt this rate Finley might declare also and if he does I think he will make a fine NFL QB. Jackson might as well depending on the offense he is asked to run.
tractor57
ParticipantGood enough I think.
tractor57
ParticipantGuess tomorrow is not Friday 🙂
tractor57
ParticipantRye in other words play football. If the Pack does those chances are great for a win. If not chances for a win are greatly diminished.
