That would have been Ok too. Letting the time tick and acting like it didn’t matter, just to get a shank.

You had to take at least ONE shot to the end zone. If you wanted to play it that casually, call timeout at 15 seconds, put Finley back in and take two passing shots.
But really, we had 1st down, 58 seconds, and 2 timeouts. We could easily get in 5-6 running plays, and that SHOULD have resulted in the back breaking TD. Just had to keep running, pick up the pace (as a spread SHOULD naturally), use timeouts as last resort. It’s not rocket surgery.
Does no one on the entire staff understand clock management 101? And the play calling is like they just rolled a dice to determine what to run down there. I am absolutely dumbfounded.

I’m offended by the nice guy casual halftime interview by Dave. It’s like he doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation. I just can’t emphasize how awful that last minute of the half was. ALL of that terribleness can be attributed to the coaching staff. And he has no clue.
damn this team cannot afford to give away free points to anyone and to do so to our rivals in that fashion.. i’m still boiling over here… nothing can be done now.. time to move on I guess.
