ParticipantI seriously couldn’t care less if Duke/BC chokes on my nads.
UGa/Bama, then ND/Clemson.

Participanttime for some magic… 96 yards, 1:45 to go with no time outs and only scored 13 points all day in the rain… no prob.

ParticipantThey do know a pass has to be caught in the air and not on a one-hop, right?

Participant4th and 1 game on the line… telegraph the play by overloading the right side. Brisset looked terrible today. It happens. Turnovers.
I guarantee we win this game if we played just one single team worth a damn in our first 4 games. Oh well, 0-1 in the ACC and the loss to an Atlantic division team makes it even worse.
Hope we learn from this.

ParticipantAnd that cupcake schedule did us no favors today.

ParticipantNot much evidence of progress today. At least my Coogs remain undefeated.

ParticipantMy 7-5 call is looking pretty optimistic at this point. Dominated by an ok Louisville team. Next week, we play a bad VT team. If we lose that one, and the odds are better than a coin flip, I’m going 6-6.

ParticipantWhile I’m in a salty mood…. SFN, your freakin banner ad essentially ruins your sites functionality on an iPhone. Hope it pays you well.

ParticipantCan’t believe we did not get one turnover today. They get two for half of their points. The Ramos fumble was especially deadly. Gosh dong dong…

ParticipantWhy can’t state figure it out and dominate at home? We have talent but look unable to grind. We have to have a big play to stay in the game.

ParticipantTo me, the game really boiled down to 3 or 4 plays. Early on we fumble in the Red Zone. They get a 60 some yard run to go 7-0. Later, I believe on a third down, they go 30 something for a TD. We still had a chance, even though we did not look good. The running game wasn’t great and Brisette looked awful.
I still fall in the camp of believing we need to improve our schedule. 4 cupcakes doesn’t allow you to find out much. But beyond that, potential recruits, at least good recruits, see that kind of schedule and go other more high profile places. Hence we try to build a program with less than the talent it takes to play at an upper level. Doesn’t mean it can’t be done, just that we haven’t.

ModeratorI’m sticking with 10.
And for better, or worse, I DO think for myself….4 plays made a difference in a sloppy game loaded with bad mojo.
Punt team is responsible for 2 of those plays.
Figure it out.

ParticipantI’ll go out on a limb here and say there is no way in hell is there 6 more wins on this schedule. But I like the optimism. We’ll see who gets their turn in the barrel at the end of the season
😉

KeymasterI never saw how we could handle Clemson, since they should eat our secondary alive (in addition to challenging our OL). After what Petrino’s front 7 did to us, I shudder to imagine the FSU game. So…we would have to go perfect through the rest of the schedule, bowl included. Very unlikely.
As others have noted, it’s a problem entering conference play behind the 8 ball. We play teams that have been challenged and thus have worked some kinks out. But not us. So we aren’t in real “game shape” until like the 3rd game of the ACC slate, and it really does my head in.
