    Some teams are playing 9 ACC games and some are playing 8. Was that a contractural glitch or is that an option?

    ^ Even Swofford isn’t stupid enough to do something like that. I’m guessing you’re mistakenly counting Notre Dame as a conference opponent.

    Thanks, I guess I’m not up on the Notre Dame deal. They are in the ACC but their games do not count on the ACC! Ok, makes perfect sense!

    The conference caved to Notre Dame; ND is only a partial ACC member. They remain independent in football. As part of the deal (on paper, advantageous to both sides if being objective), Notre Dame will play an average of 5 ACC teams ( NOT ACC games) every year. Those games are not conference games.
