As of this moment, former NCSU golfer Tim Clark sits atop the leaderboard at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Clark followed yesterday’s 5 under 65 with the identical score today to lead by one at 10 under. But, it is just 12:00pm on the island and numerous players have yet to tee off, including yesterday’s leaders Paul Casey and the Wake Forest boy Webb Simpson. NCSU alum Carl Pettersson hasn’t fared as well as Clark and is 2 under for the day and on the cut line at 1 under through 16 holes after struggling to an opening round 1 over 71 yesterday.
