Do you really want someone on par with Annabelle Vaughn running our entire athletic program?
It’s Annabelle Meyers now. I had a meeting with Annabelle back when Les was AD. If IIRC she did have her ‘good points.’
Last years team was NOT recruited for the no-huddle, spread offense. DD could have tried to build a team around the athletes he had OR he could install his/Canada’s offense and build for the future. The first option may have had a better result with Pete running a pro type offense but the year would be lost as far as getting his/Canada’s offense in. Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t.
Recruiting is important for optimum results obviously but there are other factors involved in winning. NI won without highly ranked recruits. If State is going to win, we will likely have to do it without highly ranked recruiting classes in the near and perhaps mid-ranged future.
Finally listening to and reading excuses for not attending football games is tiresome. We whine about having to play in the same division as FSU and Clemson and those teams fill the stadium regardless of who they schedule. We can schedule the Ohio States but likely not as home games.
