Maybe it was, but I traveled to Cortland and Syracuse for about 15 or so years….even during the winter.
Wandered around the area for dinner and had some long weekends with DW in the Finger Lake areas. I always thought that it was REALLY progressive…as in it’s academia leftist leanings.
If it was ever progressive in its athletic mentality, then I think that all changed when they started running NASCAR at Watkins Glen.
