Pak, you didn’t live through the outrageous inflation, sky high interest rates (people actually bought homes at 15%, cars were near 20% even with good credit). He destroyed the moral of the military by holding raises to 10% under inflation, soldiers and sailors could barely feed their families. The nail in his coffin was the Iran hostage situation. All in all the views of his presidency by most of those of us who lived through it will only be topped in terms of Yuck by Obama. I never thought anyone would top Carter but the last 8 years have for me.
