Changes to 2008-2009 Basketball Schedule; Basketball ticket deadline was yesterday

You can view our original announcement of the 2008-2009 NC State Men’s Basketball Schedule by clicking here.

NC State has announced some changes to this year’s schedule. Make sure to adjust your calendars accordingly.

Two home games have switched days after they were picked up by ESPNU. The Florida State home game will now be on January 13 with a 7:00 p.m. tip, and the Miami home contest has been moved to January 27 also at 7:00 p.m.

In addition to those two contests, ESPNU will also carry the Marquette game on December 22 at 7:00 p.m., and the final home game of the season on March 4 against Boston College at 7:00 p.m.

Fox Sports South and New England Sports Network will now broadcast the Pack’s road game at Davidson on December 6, with a tip time of 12:00 p.m.

The February 11 home contest versus Wake Forest has now been set for 7:00 p.m.

Additionally, 9/15 was the deadline for basketball tickets and parking passes to be ordered based on priority. If for whatever reason you forgot to renew or order non-lifetime right tickets, then they are usually pretty forgiving if you get your order placed quickly.

    Garrius Adams committed to Miami.
Oh well…at least we are still in the running for Favors.

I just dropped by to see what wolfpack fans were talking about these days. Keep you chins up.

TESTING to see if I am still being filtered out (if you guys see this post, please note that in a response as I never see any of my own posts after posting here).

I may live to regret this statement – but I don’t think that I am too upset about the Adams decision to go to Miami. I think we’ve got plenty of depth/talent of that player profile on the roster the next few years.

If Favors doesn’t commit, I’d just as soon they pick up a guy guaranteed to stay 3-4 years. I highly doubt Adams was going to be that guy.

Heck, I wouldn’t mind a Cornelius Williams type. Shudder. OK, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Favors would be great, but we’re going to need another “big” to commit either that year or the next because Favors more than likely is not going to be around for long.

There is a 100% chance that this Adams guy drops 30 on us at some point in his career.

SFN: Amen. Thought the same thing.

Anybody interested in buying 2 season tickets (lower level) and a parking pass for bball?

Article I found on Duke Basketball Report. I actually thought it was a very well-written article, and ACCURATE in many ways. I concur with the Wall AND Favors comment. That class would be FAB FIVE type GOOD…

I hope smith doesn’t have Costner syndrome, that 240 is a bit more than he weighed last year and he has been known to have a weight problem. Hopefully it’s muscle.

Interesting read from the dbr…but they obviously didn’t consider any of the reports from our Canada trip before they wrote the article.

“Anybody interested in buying 2 season tickets (lower level) and a parking pass for bball?”

Where are the seats, and how much? (I normally don’t buy season tickets to basketball because I’d rather watch on TV than sit in the nosebleeds on the 3rd level…)

“There is a 100% chance that this Adams guy drops 30 on us at some point in his career.”

Don’t they still draw straws before the games to detemine the coveted “Let’s see who blows up out of obsecurity and has their career game against the Wolfpack” honors. If so, considering it’s between the opposing starters only, that would make it about a 20% chance on average, but I wouldn’t bet on it either way.

redfred2: oh boy. let’s see some marked improvement of defense please. Also team chemistry can overcome deficits in talent, like the year after Hodge left, and I read all over the article after the Canada trip that they are playing together, have a new mindset, etc. Am looking forward to the new Costner, a healthy Degand, Smith with some PT, and what these new guys can do.

With the season coming up and season tickets being mailed out shortly, how does everyone feel about the season ticket packages not including the games that are in Reynolds?

Who’s fault is it that these games have been taken away from season ticket holders and Lifetime Right seat owners?

What are your thoughts about this?
