Wolfpack Alum Taking National Stage

NC State graduate Robert Gibbs will be President-elect Barack Obama’s first White House press secretary. To my knowledge, he will be the first Wolfpacker to hold this position.

In other political news, the Associated Press has called North Carolina for Barack Obama. That means a great deal to me personally.

Election Day Diversion: John Murtha, the Wolfpacker / Did Fowler & Vaughn-Myers forge Barry O’s birth certificate?

Murtha

As you can see from the Wolfpack sign above, the evidence is pretty over-whelming.

Maybe the curse of NC State will finally work for all of our benefit and will result in this stain on humanity losing his seat and drifting off into obscurity. Maybe Murtha and Tom Daschle can find somwhere to play some shuffleboard together. Iran maybe?

In other shocking election day news, it appears that WorldNetDaily has finally found Obama’s ‘lost’ birth certificate. But…look at it carefully (below). It appears to closely match Lee Fowler’s report on NC State Athletics that was leaked to the public by “oldtrenchfighter” on Pack’s Pride’s message boards. Coincidence?

The Mary Easley Entry

We obviously were busy last week and didn’t have a lot of time to post things on the blog.

(Calling all people who have author access out there!?!?!? Anyone home?)

But, we wouldn’t really be following NC State appropriately if we didn’t at least provide one entry about this Mary Easley mess going on in Raleigh. There are so many articles on the story in the local papers that I don’t know which one to link. (Feel free to link insightful perspectives that you find).

NC State has announced that it will review over 800 employee contracts in the aftermatch of the fiasco.

Happy Memorial Day, 2008

Let’s remember Pat Tillman today.

Simple Men Looking for Candidate of Change!

With the biggest sporting event NC State hosts all year upon us (sorry TOB, it’s still the ACC), I’d like to maximize the volume of on-lookers by making an announcement now. Imagine some random guy passing out leaflets to pedestrians in Times Square (UNX @ State in RBC arena) versus the opportunity I had last week (State @ BC in a vaulted ceiling library) and you can see the motivation.

What I propose today is not meant to be serious, but DO NOT mistaken it for just some joke! It is what everything has become when one is an opinionated Wolfpack fan, a paradox.
