I thought it was a solid hire when I first heard the news and now after watching these two videos, I am more convinced. He is going to bring some much needed excitement and enthusiasm to this program. I like the way he interacts with the players and his whole attitude. Way to go on the hire DY!

Only time will tell of course, but it would seem that Debbie got exactly the kind of coach she was looking for, a proven D1 winner, energetic, young and positive. Way to go Debbie. When Debbie has a mission and a goal, lead follow or get out of the way!!! I just hate we have to wait a year for football season.

What a contrast to TOB & Co.! I like it. Hopefully he retains the RB, WR, DB and S&L coaches, or gets equivalent or better, as they are YOUNGER, and seem competent, plus add recruiting ability in the Pack’s recruiting areas.

I look forward to an exciting new brand of football at NC State. Go Pack!

Funny guy. He uses the word “dude” a lot. Hope Kitchens, Walters and Edmunds get a close evaluation for being retained. I would also think that keeping Bridges on and putting him back with the TEs could make sense (he was by far our best recruiter IMO)

Love the hire and can’t wait to see how he gets the Defense that has 8 starters plus a former LB starter who RS coming back.

More smiles and energy in those two clips than I’ve seen from TOB in a long time.

I wish both of them well.

Troy Walters tweeted that he’s open to stick around. A young coach in a recruiting type of role who seems could thrive under a charismatic coach like DD.

Race cars, parachutes and singing are great. I just hope he doesn’t ever enter C-F riding a white horse.

    AWESOME!

Agree – was happy with the hire, but to see his personality and attitude, just wow! With our facilities and brand, he’ll do fine.

Winning the MAC is likely finishing 6-2 in the ACC, btw.

    Thanks Yow, great hire.

Of course time will tell . . . but this guy will do well, that is my bet! Bring it!!!!!

This Dude has the right attitude and reminds me of a 30 something year old guy who got a National Championship in his 3rd year of coaching at his new school, nobody really knew who he was or recognized his previous school – a little school called Iona and who is known for saying, “Never give-up”- so in honor of Jimmy V week – Let’s give our new Football Coach all the support we can from The Wolfpack Nation!

Like what I see here, but someone please tell him to cut out the death-defying antics now that he’s been hired to coach in Raleigh. There’s really no need to tempt #ncstateshit.

Lol. Good one 61Packer. Although some on this site may be too young to know what you are referring to.

Thanks for posting these. Nice to hear him talk and pick up on some of his personality. I can see why DY liked him.
