Vitale on Purvis’ Status
Just asking T has NCAA taken so long to determine status of NC ST’s Purvis? This is August – give me a break – not fair to kid or school
The basketball team has left for Spain and football practice has started. You can talk about that and other topics over on the SFN Forums.

Great job, JG78! Thank you.
thanks JG78!
Thanks for the pxp, JG78 !
Sounds like Howell watched a lot of film over the summer – and hasn’t learned a thing !
great to win – is anyone else at all concerned about the fact that what on paper (just reading here) looked like a solid lead almost evaporated? Not like that hasn’t happened before…….
Yes I realize they were rotating players and the win isn’t really what matters
Howell — 4 fouls is OK
if the refs are european I will also assume they didn’t allow as physical play as should be allowed in college basketball either
For those that did not listen to the game and are concerned about Richard’s fouling … it was very one sided on the calls and even when the refs (wearing the opposing teams colors) called it both ways … it was wrong. Even Dr Yow commented on the calls and the obvious connection between refs and opposing team.
Heard that Vandy started, along with de Thaey, Wood, Warren, and Lewis.
Glad that Lo was able to play…
Nice to pull out a win with Brown, Leslie, and Howell coming off the bench, especially if the refs were wearing the other team’s colors !
I’m worried.
Lets get down to brass tacks here. Will he most likely play the regular season?
prelude to a season.
^^^^At least those refs make it publicly known which side they’re going to call in favor of.
That’s good. 8 on 5 from the start. Probably gonna have to overcome that at least a few times this season anyway so get used to it early.
