Friday Night Sweet Sixteen

The under card includes three games:

#10 Xavier vs. #3 Baylor – CBS, 7:15pm

#13 Ohio U. vs. #1 North Carolina – TBS, 7:45pm

#4 Indiana vs. #1 Kentucky – CBS, 9:45pm

I think there might also be another game starting a little bit after 10pm.

Not looking like it. Xavier made a game of it before half I see. That could have gotten real ugly.

I feel great, we have nothing to loose. If it ends tonight we have over achieved and are going to be much better next year. It would be a fairy tail ending though if we could beat the holes one time this year.

UNX has beaten Vermont, Creighton and and gets to the Elite Eight with a win over this pitiful looking team? Nice bracket. Whoever wins KU vs NCSU is in the F4.

Decided to listen to Alice’s Restaurant followed by Nilssons the Point rather then watch Baby Blues vs Bob Kitty’s. Has anyone ever remembered a team getting three straight weak opponents in the NCAA tourney in the modern day? Mid-Major, Mid-Major, Mid-Major…

Damn it, Ohio was challenging the Holes for a minute. I really, truly expected the Bobcats to win.

More than an easy path or wrist injuries, right now they just don’t look very motivated. I know Marshall being out makes them suspect as far as offensive flow, but they don’t even look as if they care right now.

Ohio has gotten more-or-less any shot they’ve wanted. Not confident early and cold after that. This could’ve and still could be a game.

Too many threes taken … All it takes is a spark though. Holes have a chance to pull away here – might get interesting if they don’t.

    Zeller is a flopping/acting machine.

I think Carolina knows they can’t win it all sans Marshall, and pretty sure they believe he’s done for the year. And that shows in their energy level.

They are defending hard, though. That’s a little weird.

The way the first six games have looked…they should have stopped the tourney after the first weekend. Lots of bad, sloppy, unaesthetic play.

    ^Second that.

IU – UK and NCSU – KU give hope though. Could be two great games.

Tallest opponent Tar Heels have matched up against has been Creighton’s Head Coach.

The Holes had better hope they lose tonight. They would lose the regional final by 40.

Taking that wide open 15 footer, Henson looking much like Baby Hewey taking his first steps.

That call against Barnes never happens in ACC play.

So glad we have real announcers, who point out things like the complete failure of Harrison Barnes to step up, even a little. That dude has to be a huge disappointment to the blue bellies.

It’s obvious who wants it more. Not sure if Ohio’s “want” is gonna be able to overcome size and talent, however.

I still don’t see how anyone in their right mind would put Barnes ahead of Marshall on their all-ACC ballot. Just fucking nuts.
