Game Thread – Pack/Deacs Redux

As the Pack looks to break out of a serious lull…you couldn’t ask for better than a home game vs. Wake Forest. The first matchup was a beatdown of epic proportions. It was clear to me that the Pack had completely figured out how to obliterate the Deacs’ high school junk offensive sets. I don’t think they have a Plan B. We shall see at 1 pm.

Is the treadmill ready to go?

Or is somebodies widdle toey hurting.

  2. Texpack Says:

The toenail stuff sounds weak after I ran the last 24 miles of the Houston Marathon with a torn meniscus. Time to get on the dreadmill BJD.

  3. MBS Says:

Hopefully, this game will be a chance for this team to get legs back under them. Two slow-down, ugly games following the UNC beatdown has taken the wind out of their sails. But the next two weeks could be huge – still a chance to make something good happen. They need to retune the engine.

  4. Rick Says:

Howell looking like he wants it this game

  5. Rick Says:

    Our offense looks stagnant

  6. BJD95 Says:

Toe issues have gone from bad to gross. It’s just Wake, anyway.

Hope to fire up the treadmill for Duke.

  7. Rick Says:

Good call on the moving pick, they never call that

  8. SaccoV Says:

Rick, I’ve not seen refs whistle the moving pick this year at all. Also, the ‘charge’ on CJ was pathetic.

  9. Rick Says:

Maybe that will get Zo going

  10. Rick Says:

The refs did not stop the ball on the horn (which they will sometimes) and they called an intentional.
    Sweet

  11. BJD95 Says:

Great flagrant call there. Commence the blowout. Wake totally sucks.

Tex – running that far is insanity, even on two good knees. My younger sister runs marathons, podiatrist says she has the feet of an 80 year old.

    Protect yo’ feet, kids!! :)

  12. Texpack Says:

Nice running game so far. That is what broke Wake’s spirit last time.

  13. SaccoV Says:

I’m thinking this will be a Flagrant 1, right? Also, could someone remind me of the difference between Flagrant 1 and 2 in terms of free throws and possession?

  14. Rick Says:

Wow that is a painful punishment.
    7 points on one trip

  15. BJD95 Says:

Ha, this will be a laugher. Wake is even less equipped to beat us than we are to beat the Holes.

Oh shit, what’s wrong with Woo?

  16. bill.onthebeach Says:

    Hey guys !!

that was the BEST THREE MINUTES OF BBALL ALL SEASON>>

  17. Rick Says:

    Sacco,
I did a bunch of research on it, it is on a post somewhere. The NCAA rules are extremely convoluted

  18. Rick Says:

I do not think Woo is hurt. Maybe he has to go pee pee?

  19. BJD95 Says:

Brant says “danger zone” which I will take as an “Archer” reference. Best show on TV, after “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.”

  20. wufpup76 Says:

Ok, so a charge against CJ, but that wasn’t a charge? Looked like AJ was there.

  21. Rick Says:

Brown looking like he is back

  22. Rick Says:

That would have brought the house down.
    Is Woo back?

  23. wufpup76 Says:

Well, the trend of opposing teams hitting every shot they throw up on our home court continues. That’s nice.

  24. Texpack Says:

Wake didn’t bring their 55 gallon drum of quit today.

  25. BJD95 Says:

Wake shooting well, but it’s not sustainable. Brown definitely playing better, and CJ looks awesome today. Even Calvin seems to be paying attention.

Woo should have just wet himself. Good way to get separation so he can get his shot off.
