Prayers & sympathy for a Wolfpack great
This is just an AWFUL story about the passing of the son of one of my favorite Wolfpackers of all-time, Erik Kramer. Link
Griffen Kramer, a backup quarterback at Thousand Oaks, was found dead Sunday at a friend’s house in Agoura Hills, school officials confirmed Monday. Kramer was 18.
Kramer is the son of former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer.In a statement, the school, with information it said was provided by the family, announced that “initial indications suggest his passing was due to alcohol poisoning.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that it does not “suspect any criminal activity contributed to or led to his death.”
Our prayers and thoughts will be with the Kramer family for a long time in the future.

Man, I sure feel sorry for the Kramer family and they have my deepest sympathy.

Eric Kramer. What a nice guy. When he was undrafted in 1987 I was working out in the NCSU gym and he was in there. There was nobody else in there at the time. You know he talked to me for a long time just like it was nothing and he was just another guy. I always thought a lot of him after that. I mean he asked me “what you gonna do after you graduate” and I told him I was headed to UNX to law school.
My heart goes out to him and his family

I had a similar experience in the spring of my freshman year, Kramer’s senior year, while working out at Weisiger-Brown.
He looked so young at the time, and was not big at all, I didn’t even realize who it was. I think we were 15 minutes into the conversation before Naz Worthern and Haywood Jefferies came in and I realized who I had been talking to. I felt sooo sheepish, but he introduced me to those two and wished me well before the three of them left.
Ran into him several times after that. He was like that w/ everyone.
tucker and tj, thanks for sharing with us. I can’t imagine how hard that is for the Kramers. Why? I just hope they can heal in time. No parent wants to survive their children.
Eric, you were GREAT for us. NCSU has been blessed with qb’s, and you’re one of them. Thanks, and my heartfelt sympathy. I almost lost one of my siblings this way. We would really have been torn up.
Erik was a good guy and sympathies to him and his family. He had no aura about himself, just another college student that happened to play football.
Was nice to see him have a successful NFL career because everyine said he would never make it.

I have a 17 year old son and couldn’t image having to endure what he and his family must be going though. Deepest sympathies to him and his.
