That’s just funny.
I think this game has the potential of being a bloodbath for State. I’m hoping Cincy has a weak O-line. Seems like I read SOMEWHERE that they might. If that’s true, MAYBE we can get some heat on the opposing QB for a change. That’s the only way we have a chance. But I don’t expect it.
Well, you have to hope the addition of Rieskamp and a focus on the spread attack pays dividends for the pack. Lot of guys got reps last week, so we may face the issue of conditioning more than anything. I expect it to be the focus of Cincy to hit the flats all day and play the run to loosen up a deep shot.
For State, they are going to need to grind it out on the ground and own TOP, but Cincy has a weak pass defense, so I expect something like a 60/40 pass run split overall. Probably 40/60 for the first quarter and then it will invert.
I never have agreed with the short turnaround/conditioning complaint. Maybe in week seven (without a bye), the wear and tear could start getting to the guys. I think that’s partially why we lost to ECU last year.
But we’re talking about college-age “kids”. When I was in college, I know I was no D-1 athlete. But I could play basketball for hours on end, and go back the next day and do it again. I know football is more grueling than basketball, but we’re talking about nearly five days rest between games here, too.
It’s the end of quarter so needed a laugh and ECU fans to the rescue (their comments on wral article).
ECU fans talking smack to in state BCS not winning anything legitimately. LOL.
I saw a blog article that refers to Conference USA as the Wild, Wild West, with ECU being one of the teams in that group, when it comes to their allowances for questionable kids including the acceptance of partial/non qualifiers (allowed up to 4 a year).

Good read. According to this, ECU had 20 non-quals from 1995 to 2001.
I wish that I could say Tuckerdorm is wrong. I found the win over S.Alabama to be painful to watch. Is what some of us expected as a “building year” with a lot of returning experienced players, in actually a “rebuilding year” that results from the loss of leadership and solid experienced players: Wilson, Spencer, Davis, Vermiglio, Lemon, Cash, and others? Our D-line which was supposed to be “sick” is in fact sick. And now our best play making LB has gone down.
Latest news from cbs: SEC and ACC reject West Virginia applications for conference membership. I wonder how this will play out.
May have already been mentioned but Yahoo Sports has an article saying how Notre Dame should join the ACC fast rather than the Big 10+
Does the Cinci logo still look like the “C” in Chic-Fil-A?
TOB saying he wants to show the nation what our team can do. I know I don’t want the nation to know how bad our defense is.
I have us at a 3 td loss. The odds makers say we lose by 1 td or 7 points. If we are close in the beginning of 4th (within a td or fg) then we have a decent chance of winning.
If we’re only getting 7 points, it’s almost a sure thing to take Cincy minus the seven.
