Charles Robinson: “There’s a problem there for Coples”
This afternoon Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports was on 99.9 The Fan and said some interesting things. You can listen here. He reported that the NCAA was nearly complete with their letter of inquiry and notice of infractions for UNC-CH when the Coples stuff broke. Robinson added that things have gotten worse for UNC-CH as a result of the Coples incident. He also said that some members of the UNC-CH football coaching staff have retained their own attorneys.
Stay tuned.

That members (not member) of the coaching staff have retained their own attorneys is huge. Huge.
Yep… First one to rat wins the plea deal. This should be over by Friday.
lol. i love the pic
But, but, but…Jim Tressel reads the Bible! And as you can clearly see, Butch Davis wears the ribbon!!! Why do you guys hate Jesus and love cancer so much?
^^^^ Hilarious!
What a race for the “Carolina Way” poster child – John Edwards, Thorpe, BOG, BOT, Dickie, BMFD – who!
I’m still holding by my prediction that UNC-Cheat may legally fight the NCAA. Those pompous a-holes don’t know any better. Coaches standing on the side of UNC might put themselves in a position to never coach again, wonder if they looking to protect themselves against the NCAA or UNC? This is what happens when a crooked admin and BOG does not insist on an independent investigation. Let the finger pointing begin!

Here is some more material for these articles
Old 13, don’t forget Mike Nifong.
All I can say is that I hope the NCAA keeps on giving them rope and I hope the PTB at UNC-CHeat continue to hang themselves with it.
It couldn’t happen to a better bunch of…..people.
Old 13. John Edwards s also a NC State grad.
Camel77 The Honorable Mr. Edwards only claims NCSU when it is politically expedient, along with the “growing up the son of millworkers in Robbins” stuff. He is a proud UNC law school grad. His “Poverty Center” crap actually makes the Mary Easley stuff look weak. UNC CH fits him like a glove.
Let’s not forget the convicted felon Mike Sleasley (undergrad unx)…
UNC investigation gets complicated with Coples
http://www.wralsportsfan.com/voices/blogpost/9666329/
QUOTES:
“The investigation would have wrapped up in April if it had ended with Marvin Austin and Robert Quinn and the few others that created the need for the investigation last year. Thanks to Quinton Coples, social media and the quest for a good time, that investigation has now been extended.”
…and…
“Even worse sign, Robinson tells us that, members of the football staff have retained their own lawyers. You don’t have to be close to the situation or even know law to know that is not a good thing.”
Hokie-long time no hear-welcome back!
So how long is this going to take now? This may be a good thing, if they can prolong this out until after UNX appeal maybe they can get their hands on the parking ticket information and the emails. If they haven’t already seen those. If not, this could get to Ohio State levels for UNX and have the possibility of affecting the basketball team depending on what is in the parking ticket information.
“first one to rat wins the plea deal”? This is not a criminal investigation, just the NCAA. I assume they’ve retained their lawyers for contract reasons.
Everyone seems to only be talking about Austin, Quinn, Coples. Are the other prongs (namely the academic fraud) not in play with their investigation? I’d love for the Michael Jordan cars thing to come out, not to mention the house (forget the bball player’s name) and MILF Hansbrough’s on-campus job.

Individually, every one of these possible issues could maybe be dismissed. But when you consider the big picture, there is entirely too much smoke for there not to be fire SOMEWHERE.
Finally…HungWolf…says it.
FIGHT the NCAA, which is a ‘closed shop’.
my opinion…this will start the end of the NCAA.
18 year-olds can sign contracts and die for the USA.
But 18 year olds can’t just do any and everything that they want. Like the rest of us, they can’t agree to abide by the rules layed out by an organization in order to benefit from said organization, and then expect no repercussions when they break those rules.
