Van Pelt & Williams rip Terps fans
Some great stuff in this article out of Washington — The Terps and their crowd
Both ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt AND Head Coach Gary Williams getting into the act.
Just imagine if NC State had a Hall of Fame Coach who won a National & ACC Title within the last 10 years who was fighting for ANOTHER NCAA Tournament berth?
But, WE are the bad fans who have ranked in the Top 25 of National Attendance every year since the RBC Center opened over a decade ago while delivering results over that time that rank LAST amongst the other schools who consistently rank in the Top 25 of attendance.
Makes total sense to…somebody

good article, and I was watching last nights State/Carolina game on TV, and I was actually very impressed with our crowd, I saw alot more red than Carolina blue, there was alot behind the Carolina bench, which makes sense, but other than that our crowd showed up, and we havent won sqaut in 22 years (1989 ACC Reg Season Title)….
Maybe somone needs to call Seth Davis about this, so he can tell Gary Williams to fire this group of fans….
But, I thought we were the worst fans in America, and we have the power to fire Coaches, and AD’s….no other fanbase can touch us, we are so powerful….
I mean if they fire Williams, who will they get? I mean they would have ran off a coach who’s won ACC and NCAA titles, etc…and who would want to come to Maryland, and have to compete with Duke/Carolina every year?
LOL
If you look at the clock, it appears to be in the last minute of the half or the game. I can’t understand why Van Pelt says it was taken at the beginning of the game.
Yeah, where are all those media blowhards?
It is possible that it was taken at the very end of warm-ups, so Van Pelt might be right. There are no score or players visible to confirm in-game action.
yep. looks like the scores say 0-0

I think it was actually just prior to the game. Most games I’ve been to have a pre-game countdown on the clock and it looks like this one had about 46.5 seconds to go until gametime.
