As a long time Jets fan (before SB III) I was delighted to see the Jets draft Jerricho and even more pleased to see him be the player (and the man) I thought he would become.

    Simply put:

Jerricho Cotchery is pure class. NCSU nation can be proud that Cotchery is an NFL wolfpacker. What a role model for young student athletes and young wolfpackers.

And to think that they had to go get two trouble makers over the past year in Braylon “Butterfingers” Edwards and Santonio “I get into trouble with the law” Holmes.

Cotchery is always a class guy, a great teammate, and a wonderful ambassador for the Wolfpack.

The Jets don’t value his talent the way they should. They’ve brought in guys to try and move him down the depth chart. Maybe the Panthers should make an offer to the Jets to get Cotchery in town opposite Steve Smith.

Then…this offseason they can go out and sign a quarterback that can complete passes. I’m pretty sure Vick will be available because the Eagles refuse to pay for anyone…

My first memory of Jerricho he was a freshman and caught a touchdown pass against FSU, which was a big deal at the time because that was the FSU of old. Jerricho caught the pass, dropped the ball to the ground, and ran straight to the sidelines. I pointed it out to my wife and said, “That’s the kind of player that can beat these guys.”
