State/Wake Forest Game Thread
OK, I’m not made of stone. Despite my earlier pledge, I can’t help myself – I will be watching today, and the next two weeks. We need a win today against an awful opponent, then two road wins against mediocre foes. Then, NC State will be Atlantic Division champions for the first time in the divisional era, with a shot to redeem themselves against a lackluster Virginia Tech squad for their first ACC title since the disco era.
If that happens, I will forgive Tom O’Brien for his idiotic decision to punt against Clemson, although it remains 110% indefensible. There’s no asterisk in the record books for being extremely lucky to have been bailed out by the Holes and Canes last week. Now, for God’s sake, please go out and take care of business. And let’s hope for no more meaningful late game “strategery” opportunities. Because I have a feeling we will end up with the same result.
Wake is lousy. This game will be a laugher. Watch only to see if there’s evidence of a focused Wolfpack squad, with a better killer instinct.

Lol, BJD, but I said the same thing last week, and am right back today. Guess that’s why we’re State fans, years of disappointment, and we line right back up to take it again. I hope the Pack rolls today, and builds some momentum for the next two….

I am not going to subject myself to more of that crap. Maybe I will change my mind like you guys but I am pretty fed up right now.
Rick, I was hurting as much as you last week. I’m still pissed about losing to ECU. But it’s like a train wreck, I can’t turn away. We should be looking at going 9-1 today. We missed our shot at a great season. I hope a good season is in the cards. And no, a 7-5 season is not a good season.

By my count, a Miami win means the Holes can’t win the Coastal unless UVA beats VT (which won’t happen). So, go Canes!!
The red zone problems are baffling. We have an All ACC TE, tall WRs everywhere and a scrambling QB. It just doesn’t make sense.
Acc champions score td’s with first and goal against wf. We got a field goal… Not pretty.
Agree with the prior commenter – Miami’s 3rd string QB looks really good. Way better than Jacory Harris.
