SFN seeks professional writer
StateFansNation’s traffic continues to grow, resulting in an internet platform and community whose breadth and depth of audience is very large, diverse and committed.
With this said, we’d like to reach out to any freelance writers – not just those with sports backgrounds – to see if anyone has an interest in collaborating with us to work on some projects and some ideas.
We’re looking for an established writer with the following general credentials:
- at least three years experience
- background in reporting of news &/or sports (we aren’t looking to do fluffy features)
- freelance, not a full time position
- send examples of work
- send pay history
If you, or anyone that you know may fit this description and have interest in pursuing conversations with us, please drop us an email at statefans@gmail.com
Thank you very much!

You should look up Jennifer L. Wiley. She is a recent grad of UNC and I believe she has some sort of sports background.
To Easy
Too not To
Maybe he’s writing to Easy?
although he focuses on pro basketball, i really think you guys should hook up with the guy from freedarko.com, i think his sociological perspective on topics like the UNC scandal would be most interesting
Karen Owen has shown some talent.
^ you better be sure of your rating before she starts writing about you.
Just sayin’
^TJ: and KO has lots of sports related experience especially in baseball and lacrosse…
Another example of why this blog/board is so good.
Even the threads about absolutly nothing are fun to read.
Good stuff guys.
Maybe I’ll take up writing if I ever retire from the engieering field…
Engineers can’t write! Please save us if that ever happens! A lab report is “not writing”!
Plus he can even spell “engineering”! LOL! I rest my case!
Now now, don’t jump to conclusions. His reports might be easier to understand for a lot of the Pack than normal articles. Maybe he can write the students a boolean equation for when to output the words of the red/white song, to finally get the timing right again. Or maybe he can give a differential analysis of the TenArch defensive schemes. Or report the findings of an FEA on Tracy or CJ breaking the backboards.
Ok, I’m out of engineering buzzwords.
Highstick = editor

Who or what is Wolf hoops?
SFN – Check your email, I just threw my hat in with published samples and pricing.
Thanks!
I don’t know anything about anything, but I’m looking for a job -
