Until the past year I completely resisted Twitter. But, the more I work with it and the more our followers grow (1,100+) the more I understand its value and can figure out ways to use it to our advantage. (You can click here for SFN’s Twitter page. We’d love for you to follow us)
Since we can’t be sitting in room for Carolina’s press conference tonight, we thought we would follow a subset of Tweets that we know will be following the story in real time. These tweets should scroll in real time for you…but, we request is that you take the opportunity to hit the refresh button a few times when you have a moment — this is the most efficient way for us to stay in business as we earn advertising revenue based on page impressions, not direct clicks on ads.

Carolina fans are going nuts… first the ignorance, then the blind denial, the slow realization of the truth, and now the bitter, angry, outlash.
Carolina fans, the Elin Nordegren of college sports.

One thing for sure, Woodson is way cooler than Thorp.

Butch looks like crap…and ready to quit.
August 26th, 2010 at 7:27 pm
I don’t think Butch even believes what is coming out of his mouth.
This looks like a keystone cop operation and Thorp looks like he is about to sh*t his pants.

I like how they try to say they can now talk about the review… even after NCAA says there is no gag order…

Looks like his dog died. Poor thing.

Wow. They looked so pathetic I almost felt sorry for them. Almost.

I have been watching UNC sports for 30 plus years and I have never ever seen anything like this
The problem boils down to this plain and simple:
BUTCH BROUGHT IN GANGSTERS, THUGS AND LOWLIFES INTO THE PROGRAM
that is it and now he is shocked that this has happened

Looks like the doctor has prescribed their medicine; may it taste like shit and serve them with the fury of hell.
August 26th, 2010 at 7:49 pm
That was a pitiful display. What was even the purpose of that press conference.

So, no offense, and now its looking like no defense. Should be a hell of a year for those cheating douche bags.

It’s not just Butch guys! They’ve been sweeping crap under the rug over there for 50 years and calling it the “Carolina Way”. One of my Army buddies who played football there in the 60′s told me that he took the exam for one of their big name All American basketball players.
Granted, it goes on elsewhere, but winning and have a phoney image has always been more important to them. Well, guess what, that phoney image has been exposed to everyone now. To deny that it exists just demonstrates what’s really important to that institution and it’s fans!

Quick pulse — how did the Twitter experience work for you?
Even if you didn’t experience it live, I think it is fun/there is value in reviewing the timeline.
I personally like it. Want your feedback.

StateFans – I really liked being able to scroll back through the press conference and pick up what I missed from the live video feed. Good stuff!

I have the twitter feed scrolling across my browser, so it was fun to read all the tweets this morning when I got up since I missed all of yesterday’s action.
