  1. Wufpacker Says:

Wow. When did they start ranking this? And why?

The poster itself? Its fine I guess, but I don’t even think its in the top 3 or so compared some from previous seasons.

My major issue is the placement of the wolf head. The wolf head is fine, but the placement breaks WOLFPACK into WOLF PACK. That’s a big mistake, IMHO, and I have a feeling I won’t be the only one who thinks so.

Whoever designed and signed off on this might be very creative, but they do not know their audience.

EDIT/ADD: Forgot to say, my personal favorite in recent memory was, I think, 2007. Main picture is end zone view of stadium/field (I think its actually view from Murphy Ctr.). Inserts of seniors along the bottom (actions shots), schedule at top, centered, with ghost image of football behind it.

  2. Alpha Wolf Says:

    It’s WOLP FACK, damn it!

  3. NOT A FAN OF BLUE Says:

    ^Classic, Alpha :-D

  4. baxter Says:

ha, I thought the same thing, some of those posters in the top 10 though are pretty awesome. I thought the Ohio State one sucked immensely.

  5. Plz2BStateFan Says:

I honestly dont care how intimidating our poster looks.

    Its a cheap poster.

The production cost of it is a fraction of the other top 10 posters. It might be intimidating, it might work, but it is not a high quality design. Its the best they could do with the resources avaliable.

Just sitting here for 10 minutes I can come up with better concepts.

  6. PackManSJP Says:

Needs be holographic, with the players faces turning into wolves when you look at it at a different angle. Cheesy, yes, but cheese sales.

  7. 61Packer Says:

The people who made this poster evidently weren’t listening to Roy Hobbs when he said “Pick me out a winner”…….

Couldn’t they at least have put The Marine on it too?

  8. Khan Says:

Meanwhile, our program comes in at an astounding 79th. Go Wolp Palck!

  9. PackMan2012 Says:

Honestly there were probably 40 posters in that group that I liked better than ours. But it is simple, Chuck would never have allowed this.

  10. hoop Says:

Well, the spelling is correct. That automatically puts us in the top 50.

The wolf is looking mean. I like that a lot.

Plus the guys have their arms crossed and they actually look like they mean it. This is clearly the work of someone who knew WTF they were doing. No wonder we’re #27. Seriously, I’ll take it!

This is a big improvement over some of the more recent ‘work’ from our SID.

  11. mafpack Says:

Stole the wolf as my avatar… not sure if it’s working or not yet.

  12. PackerInRussia Says:

Wufpacker, the stadium view one is my favorite as well.
As far as these rankings, we all know that preseason rankings are meaningless. Let’s see how our poster does during the season. Final season poster rankings are all that matter to me.

  13. savotage Says:

Don’t EVER give up. And don’t EVER break up Wolfpack into two words.

Seriously weak poster. Couldn’t we have a couple people from the College of Design help us out on this? We have students who have the creativity to put together a dress made out of beer cans…

…and that poster is the best we can put out there? Bush league.
