Thanks for posting…Looking throught the will miss practice – some key “misses” there that I guess are due to injury:
    Gary Gregory
    RJ Mattes
    Jarvis Byrd

I’m assuming that Mario and Jackson are also missing due to injury as well.

We’re still young AND lacking scholarship athletes in the secondary. However, it’s worth noting that 2 of those candidates are on the IR.

It’s worth noting that Hans Rice has moved up the depth chart. I only say this because Cureton plays on special teams a good bit, and if memory serves correct – makes a lot of plays.

I’ll be interested to watch CJ Wilson. I thought he actually played pretty well for a freshman last year.

    is Cato-Bishop really a JR???

I am looking forward to seeing MarKus Kuhn in action this year. The big German has a lot of heart…and last year’s redshirt should reap hugh benefits.

  3. phunisher Says:

Cato-Bishop is listed as being in the 2009 class with byrd and the previous freshman class. That star beside his name would indicate a redshirt junior which is far from my impression that he is a redshirt freshman.

  4. Classof89 Says:

Everett Proctor is the former QB from (Oxford Webb?)

Was it the plan all along to move him to defensive backfield or is that another indicator of lack of Division I quality talent at those positions?

We all roasted Amato for not recruiting enough linemen…is DB TOB’s equivalent recruiting myopia?

  5. Wolfy__79 Says:

Proctor was recruited as an athlete although he played qb in highschool! He was going to be in the secondary all along!

  6. Wolfy__79 Says:

his high school, jack britt, is right downt he road from my hometown! jack britt has been one of the better fb high school teams in years past. i don’t think much has changed.

  7. CaptainCraptacular Says:

Chop, Gary Gregory had to have surgery and unfortunately will miss the spring.

  8. packsbiggestfan Says:

CJ Wilson and Rashard Smith each were bright spots for the future of our secondary (if there were any bright spots last year). If we can add Byrd in the mix I think things are much better than last year, but last year isn’t such a great benchmark.

Looking at the weight of our linemen is exciting…they are going to be huge and young. Mattes is a necessity.

Good to actually see Nate back on the roster.

Im pretty sure Cato Bishop is a RS FR.

  9. Derek Medlin Says:

Cato-Bishop is a RS freshman. Typo.
