For those who weren’t up at 6:45 this morning listening to 620 the Buzz, Adam Gold and Joe Ovies did an interview with former Wolfpacker Julius Hodge that lasted nearly as long (7:53) as NC State’s second half scoring drought against the Heels Tuesday night.
Hodge, who now plays professionally in Australia for the Melbourne Tigers, said he’s been keeping up with the Wolfpack via SlingBox, a TV streaming device which works with any broadband connection.
Here’s some thoughts from Julius:
“You know what, I have something called Slingbox on my laptop so I get the game. I get Raycom. We were rolling, man, up 43-38 in the second half and the Deon Thompson and the boys just started rolling. Sometimes it goes like that.”
“Farnold got it one time on the right wing and he had a strong penetration middle and I was like ‘dang if I was right there I would have threw it on somebody’ but I guess we have a young team and sometimes you’re gonna have those games.”
“I like the perimeter play. Javi played well last night and if those guys can consistently do that in the low post we were looking good. It’s tough with a young team and Coach Lowe has a lot on his hands. But he’s doing a good job. Hey a couple wins in the ACC and they are right back in the middle of the pack.”
