New Year’s Day Football Overshadowed by Lee Corso’s attempt to shake a blind kid’s hand
“Put it here – Junior”
“What happens when a grown man wearing a Duck head attempts to shake the hand of a blind child? MAGIC, that’s what. Someone get this kid a complimentary Erin Andrews breast touch.” (From Deadspin)
I cannot begin to imagine how hard folks like Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit have laughed at this once they got off the air.
The Sporting Blog has really picked up their game lately and logged this entry – Lee Corso, Master of Disability Sensitivity.

Lee Corso might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he means well.
How about the ghetto performance from CBS in botching the postgame interview(s) with Bowden?
God, Corso is just an idiot.
And yes, CBS should be ashamed of the uber-failure for the postgame ceremony with Bobby. That’s why they’re a third rate network for sports nowadays.
Jeez.
If you missed the whole segment, that kid was sharp; he definitely has a future in sports broadcasting.
That failed handshake was comedy gold.
Aaaand THAT just about summarizes the last 15 years of ESPN.
ESPN truly has sucked for a looooong time imo.
