Pack vs. Noles – Bytes & Gameday Shitstorm Thread
I’m going to try very hard not to watch this train wreck, so don’t expect many updates. But there needed to be a place for the masochists to put their comments. For broader topics of conversation, your SFN profile also works on our message board forums that can be accessed by clicking here.
So, here you go. You’re welcome.
A few items of interest:
- NC State will play this game without two more injured starters, including the ‘quarterback’ of our offensive defense. (Link) Due to the injury to Graham, the Wolfpack will take the field without an experienced returner as we have now lost all three of our returners on the year to injury — TJ Graham, Rashard Smith & James Washington.
- North Carolina’s Shrine Bowl roster will include NC State commitment Robert Crisp, but not Tony Creecy. WRAL has more information here.
- The N&O says that the “Chuck Amato issue has faded for NC State”. That is fascinating to me. Chuck is actually an NC State graduate who has been a part of the family for over 40 years. With this said, when will the media arbitrarily decide the Herb Sendek issue has faded for NC State?
This week in ACC Football (NCS @ FSU is discussed around the 2:20 mark of the video).

I’ll watch. How fitting its Halloween nite. Course its always Halloween nite for us State Fan.
Tricks………no Treats.
Does this video require a Flash plugin or something else? On my Mac, neither Firefox nor Safari can find a plugin for this content. In the error message, I noticed there are double quotes around the plugin name:
…has content of MIME type “”application/x-shockwave-flash”".
And I definitely have Flash installed. I watch Flash videos every day.
Interesting…video isn’t working for me, either.
THANKS, WRAL for making life so easy for everyone!
Looking at only stats versus ACC teams:
FSU and State rank 11/12 in both total defense and scoring defense. State has a better rushing defense and FSU has a better passing defense vs ACC teams.
And in a sign of great compassion from someone….Raycom has just faded to black on my TV
NC State = the game when half the stadium bothers not to show up.
Over/Under on the number of guys we lose for the year after today’s game. I’m going with 2. And they will probably be true freshman who we can’t redshirt. And they will be talented. And it will probably be an injury that keeps them out of spring ball and likely delays any comeback at the start of next season.
I’m very, very pessimistic right now.
Broken femurs or ACL.
Where there goes our best lineman.
BJD- To answer your final question, the Sendek issue will fade this season, coinciding with ASU’s projected 5th-ish finish and NIT bid.
Well, there it is. There’s number 1. OL, Mattes. Gawd damn.
CStanley,
You forgot the other common scenario: the guys who tear their ACL in week 8 who have already burned their redshirt year, and miss all of the following season during their extended rehab.
If Donald Bowens can’t catch, he should switch to DB.
And he CANNOT catch.
Mattes out for game.
FSU might keep us in the game with penality help.
Our DB’s are much better at digs than the volleyball team… sucks they can’t catch…
My son’s first State game. Appropriately, he’s sleeping and crying.
Is it me or has Eugene lost a lot his power?
Sack #1 at the 7:25 mark…. no doubt it wont be the last
Congrats on the baby GAWolf. That’s a lot better than well, anything.
“try to pooch it.” comedy. that’s all he’s got.
Thx. He’s awesome. Raises hell all night like his dad, though. Karma is a bad man.
Eugene has lost power, as has Cash. Our LBs are weak, and our DBs can’t tackle. Graham is slower than last year, now he’s blown out his knee.
Our S&C program is phenomenal.
another pick missed by morgan bc of faceguarding after being out of position.
textbook pack. fumble recovery for huge gain. jebus.
WOW 20 yard run after an unforced untouched fumble… only w/ states tackling…
