Best to you and your father on the surgery, Chop. I was at the Kramer-Peebles game. We were walking out standing on the upper deck when the play went down. I never hugged and kissed so many people in my life. Didn’t even bother to notice the SC fans.

Winning for sure, however, playing patsies in the Div.“formerly known as …” is a lose-lose senerio. If you lose everyone makes a big deal about it ie. Mich and App St. If you WIN againstthe likes of Gardner Webb then nobody gives a crap and it just lowers your rating except when it comes to going to the “Toilet Bowls” with the other 6-5 and 7-4 teams. We need to beat the Cocks. I was at that Hail Mary game Kramer to Peebles miracle. Man the Cock Fans were pissed. Actually called us cheaters when in reality on the previous play with the clock running out the nose guard reached over the center and pulled eric Kramer down before the ball was snapped and drew the off sides flag and gave us another shot at the end zone with no time left on the clock. A Classic!

85Designo: I see that as GREAT bulletin board and pep talk material. There’s no better way to gain respect than to go on the field and win. The players, ultimately, are the ones who can make everyone in the country remember that we’re NOT the Tarheels. Ultimately you’ll always have some dingbats who mess everything up in the media, but the easiest way to limit this sort of thing is to win and win a lot.

This morning the Weather Channel referred to tonight’s game at “NC State” as the “Game Cocks” taking on the “Tar Heels”. We are the Rodney Dangerfield of college football. Absolutely no respect, no respect at all. Thanks Fowler, Good Job. Maybe Murray State and Gardner Webb will put us on the map.

Game-day, baby.

And I can’t tell if I’m more excited or filled with dread. The 8-hour tailgate will be perfect – including apparently ideal weather.

But if we lose tonight, which is entirely possible, it’s going to be pretty disheartening. At some point, we need to turn the corner… it seemed like we did so late last season, but a loss tonight makes that look like a fluke.

Come on, boys. Step it up. Let’s get this done tonight.

FWIW – TOB sounded awfully confident last night at the pep rally, from what I saw on the news. Let’s hope there’s a reason for the confidence.
