Carolina Hurricanes Shaft Fans Out of Fair Priced Tickets

Not NC State related, but a note how the Hurricanes pulled a “bait and switch” routine with local fans. They tried to dupe their customers into coming to the ticket window to purchase $9.99 tickets only to have $20 and $30 tickets available. Some customers drove to the RBC Center box office this morning as far as Greensboro and Charlotte. Naturally, instead of leaving the ticket window empty handed, they had to purchase the $20 and $30 tickets. They issued a CYA press release in the afternoon. No word yet if the Better Business Bureau or AG’s office is looking into the Hurricanes newest ticket fiasco.

It was probably some numbnut that screwed things up. I can’t imagine this was a planned bait and switch, probably more like your typical bureacratic sbafu.

People need to realize it is a professional sport that is for profit. $9.99 on gameday is meant to get people in the stands at the last minute, not to put you up against the glass.
