No ESPN2? No State-Duke
There is are some ACC Tournament games on the horizon; and State-Duke is one of the marquee match-ups.
N.C. State will be at full strength but it hasn’t been very good since the first 20 minutes of the Carolina game on Feb. 21 (Oh, come on, you’re not seriously going to bring up the Wake game are you?).
But, you may not have the opportunity to watch the Wolfpack’s game if you don’t have cable or satellite. Of course, if you don’t have cable or satellite…the odds are that you aren’t reading this on the internet…
WRAL will televise all the ACC Tournament games this week — except Thursday night’s game between N.C. State and Duke.
Only ESPN2 will show the 7 p.m. game, which means fans who don’t have cable or satellite can’t watch it in their homes.

Wow, I bet the ACC never imagined a State-Duke matchup would ever occur during that time slot. I am betting that didn’t think anyone would ever care.
So will this be in HD on ESPN 2 HD?
Oddly enough, with the late start and Duke involved, I’m liable to get to see State play even though I’m in Canada (albeit right across the water from Washington) on the West Coast. It’s really hit or miss which feed the Canadian Sports channels will pick up. Keeping my fingers crossed…

ignore the first link i posted… sry
the NCSU vs. Duke game will be in ESPN 2 HD nationwide
the philosophy from 2006 still applies, ESPN owns all rights to the game, therefore they will not be blacked out and will carry the game on all of their ESPN2 sources. and if you live in the Triangle or within reach of WRAL this year you should get every single game in HD as long as you get ESPNHD sources and WRALHD.
It will be nice to see the Pack in HD.
for people not in the Raleigh/Durham WRAL area, here is a link to the “tentative” hd coverage for the rest of the Raycom/JP coverage zone. Obviously the State/Duke game may be the only one to matter at the present moment, but when we hopefully beat them you might want to know where to watch the rest of our games in crystal clear HD…

ncsuphysician: PackPride has two threads on the topic: Welcome Javier Gonzalez! and Corchiani Welcomes Javi
yeah i’m in ithaca
For all those with TWC, we’ll just have to wait for them to carry ESPN2HD. I think it’s time for Direct TV!!
On the Top 10 reasons Duke is hated list, Shane Battier is def. in the top 5. He just drew a charge on my granny at the grocery store.
CornellPackFan, if State makes to the ACC finals, let’s get a group to watch at Benchwarmer’s. I’ve converted a few folks here to State “fans”. (meaning, they come over and watch me root for State)
1) I wish, I think, State would schedule some elite mid majors like Southern Illinois, Creighton, ODU, Drexel, Winthrop, Butler, Akron. I mean, at home, we should win, and I think the commitee would see that as a better win than Savannah St., or Mount St. Mary’s, Gardner-Webb, Delaware St., Wofford; all of whom we played at home this year I think. And in the event we lost, it wouldn’t be a “bad loss” assuming they make the tournament or win their conf championship. But would be considered a “good win”. I’m sure someone is going to rip this apart, just be nice! I don’t actually believe it exactly, but think it’s something to think about.
2) I hate the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where people clap for the server catching the wings or whatever. Hate it.
I could do without any more games involving Akron

I want Fordham on the schedule next year.
