Best & Worst of ACC Football

Link to Wilmington Star article.

As “bad” as NC State’s schedule is supposed to be this year…it is interesting that we aren’t playing a game that is projected to be bad enough to skip when compared to so many other teams games.

The one that jumps out at me is Wake vs. Liberty.

This is Liberty’s first year of football, IIRC.

Liberty has a football team? For shame, Wake!

Third String Matt and Jesse “Double Pumper” Holley’s judgement aside, NC State’s 2005 schedule overall was ranked aquarely in the middle of all of the ACC. Like the UNC fairy tales of parades and the citizenship of their student athletes, they have repeated the purported weakness of our schedule over and over and over until “it must be true.”

Liberty was 1-10 last year, they are 1-AA but I think they might be planning to move to 1-A.

FWIW, This is not Liberty’s first year in football. I graduated from there before continuing my education at State and went to many football games.

Eric Green, one time Pittsburgh Steeler TE is Liberty alum. They’ve been at I-AA for 15 years or so. It’s a good Baptist Brawl. Serious up though, Wake will CRUSH them.

I like that the guy had Darrell as the #1 secret weapon. I picture Trestman rubbing his hands together like a mad scientist plotting.
